League Rules
Fair play and sportsmanship are the foundation of our league. Please familiarize yourself with our rules and regulations.
General Rules
- •All players must be registered with the league
- •Teams must have a minimum of 8 players and maximum of 15 players
- •Mandatory equipment: gloves, stick
- •Recommended Equipment: Helmet, Shin guards, Jock
- •No contact is allowed - this is a non-contact league
- •Games consist of three 10-minute periods
- •Each team is allowed one 30-second timeout per game
Player Conduct
- •Respect all players, officials, and spectators
- •No fighting or aggressive behavior - zero tolerance policy
- •Abusive language will result in penalties
- •Players ejected from a game must leave the facility
- •Captains are responsible for their team's conduct
- •Alcohol is prohibited in the playing area
Penalties
- •Minor penalties: 2 minutes (tripping, hooking, slashing)
- •Major penalties: 5 minutes plus game misconduct
- •6 mins or more will result in automatic game misconduct penalty
- •High stick where blood is drawn is 4 mins
- •High stick where the ball is contacted will result in a defensive zone faceoff
- •Fighting results in automatic suspension
- •Accumulating 3 game misconducts results in league suspension
- •Players must serve their own penalties
Scoring & Standings
- •Regular season consists of 12 games per team
- •Win: 2 points
- •Tie: 1 point
- •Loss: 0 points
- •Overtime: 5-minute sudden death period (Playoffs only)
- •Shootout if tied after overtime (best of 3) (Playoffs only)
- •Top 4 teams qualify for playoffs
Important Reminders
- •All decisions made by referees are final
- •Teams must arrive 15 minutes before game time for warm-up
- •Forfeit declared if team has fewer than 6 players at game time
- •League reserves the right to modify rules as necessary
- •All participants play at their own risk - waiver must be signed
